Nancy has been baking since she was old enough to reach the table. Her mother and grandmother (“Baba”) taught her the rudiments of baking without measurements. After retiring from a career of nearly 50 years in human services, her love of baking was resurrected and lead her into purchasing, along with her son-in-law Andrew James, Clarencedale Cake in 2013 and transforming it into the Bake Shoppe Sharon in 2016. For nearly five years she has been baking the old favorites and creating new and delicious flavors taking the total cupcake list at one time to approximately 190 different flavors. In addition she has added such goodies as breakfast egg cups, fruit strudel, kolachi and other delicious items to the Bake Shoppe menu. Currently she is working on expanding the on-line business to shipping the flavorful giant cookies and crème wafers.
Nancy is publishing a cookbook. Please stay tuned for further details.

His area of study included graphic design, photography, 3D design, fine art, printing and fashion design. He completed a workshop on cake decorating and has worked at Fletcher’s Bakery and Cake Decorating studio in Walsall, United Kingdom. He is a member of The Random Acts of Artists and periodically has pieces of his art work on display in various venues in the Sharon area. Using his talents as an artist Andrew turns the customers “ideas” into design and ultimately a finished cake. Our gallery of cakes is just a few examples of Andrew’s beautifully crafted cakes.
